An intense 2 weeks of theory and hands on work. This class covers hair structure, chemistry, chemical service theory (color, perms, relaxer, and keratin blowouts), hair cutting, styling, and product knowledge. All new hire employees must take this class and evaluate out of it. The evaluations will be both written and practical. Due to the evaluation of Phase 1 determines if the new hire stay with the company, or how many shifts that they are put on to the floor doing hair or how many hours they are helping others as an Experience Maker.

Phase 2: - Rising Stars, and New Hires that are Master Stylists & above
These classes are set up to  be more advanced and more of a creative learning experience.  There will be a demo done the first week, then a model on the following week.  All models must be open to both cut and color.  For example, if we have a color class, the educators would also like to see a creative cut; and vice versa.  The educator demonstrating the class will also be the educator working with you on that model day.   Each of the Students will have another photo shoot to complete this phase.  Educators and Stephen will want to see combination of knowledge and skills that were learned during this phase..  Passing phase 1, 1.5, and 2, rising star can then move to master stylist.
This is for a Rising Star stylist and has two levels. The first level ($25) is where the stylist is on the floor working with guests 1 to 5 shifts per week and assisting the salons the remainder of the time. The second level ($30) is where the stylist in on the floor working with guest 100% of the time. Both levels must attend phase 2 classes on Tuesday mornings. How to move up from level 1 to 2 as a rising star? This is determined by the artistic director and how well the rising star is hitting their numbers and goals that they have been given. There is not a time limit or series of classes to go through, it is purely based on performance. To Move from a level 2 rising star to a master stylist is also determined purely based on reaching the given goals.

Phase 3:
These classes are held monthly for all employees.
